So it’s nearly Christmas and the time of stuffing our faces has begun. I’m finding it so hard to resist all the nice treats around and to maintain my healthy diet – so I have just working a bit harder in the gym to try and not gain to much of a belly!
Every year for as long as I can remember I have either made or thought about new year resolutions. Most of them get broken, a few I have kept such as getting new jobs when I have been unhappy and I specifically remember one year back in 2000 my resolution was to get to the point where I could run a marathon and I achieved that.
So what are your new year resolutions from a training point of view? What is it you really would like to achieve?
My new year training resolutions are:
1. To do a PB in a 10k and a 5k
2. To get faster and do more speed work which should help me get faster
3. To shed a bit more excess weight! which should help me achieve 1 and 2.
So I’ve thrown my gauntlet down now. So I now have a whole year to prove I can keep my resolutions!
