Happy Christmas and New year!
I’m on holidays at the moment in Japan and we are now in the ski resorts so no running for me at the moment as I wouldnt brave the the roads outside here and no treadmill available but skiing is an awesome workout.
Yesterday we made a bit of a faux pas and nearly got stuck on the mountain after dark and were out for hours, but I have to say as an alternative to running, skiing is an excellent workout. We must have been out for a good 7 hours yesterday and by the end of it I felt like I had done running and body pump continuously for hours. Everything ached, but then after a good nights sleep I felt ready to go again but with slightly aching muscles.
I can’t say that skiing will ever become my number one sport of choice, it will always be running…
