My little running blog is 5 years old today!

I had never really thought about writing a blog especially about running and I always wondered what on earth I was going to write about – but here I am 5 years later and still writing πŸ™‚

I originally started writing it for a few reasons :

1. To stop my husband and friends from going nuts having to hear about my running escapades all the time; and

2. To encourage other people that running is fun and not just for elite runners and skinny people! Neither of which category I fit into!

3. In dedication to one of my running companions that I ran with in London – Charlie. He was amazing and had run over 50 marathons – and in his 70s could still outrun me any day. He died a few years back but he was my inspiration – remembering all the chats we had whilst running our long runs on the weekend and all the great running advice he gave to me.

It was never about the numbers, the followers it was just a place to jot down and share my thoughts. I never thought anyone actually read the blog but over the years I have had some really nice feedback and when I was thinking of stopping writing I had some really great encouragement – so thank you to those of you that have encouraged me and supported- it means a lot πŸ™‚

As always – Happy Running πŸ™‚
